How it works (short & clear)
- We install a small Linux-based device (Raspberry Pi) that becomes your home’s secure DNS resolver.
- Known ad/tracker domains are sinkholed — instead of the real IP, they resolve to 0.0.0.0 so ad elements never load.
- Your router points DNS to the device instead of the ISP — your provider doesn’t see your domain lookups.
- We maintain curated blocklists and keep protections up to date — you just enjoy a smoother internet.
This blocks domains; it doesn’t decrypt HTTPS or read private content. Streaming apps that inject server-side ads may still show some ads.

Is this legal?
YES! One of the questions we get asked the most is if this is legal.
Deploying a DNS-level ad & tracker filter on your home network is completely legal and puts control of your information back into your hands.
FAQ
Will this break websites?
Very rarely, a site may rely on a domain that’s usually used for ads. If that happens, we adjust the rules so the site works normally.
Does this replace my router?
No — your router stays the same. We simply make this device your home’s DNS resolver so protection applies everywhere.
Will this remove all streaming ads?
It removes many app and web ads, but some streaming services inject ads on their servers. Those can’t be removed at the DNS level.
What about privacy?
We don’t collect your browsing history. The system blocks domains; it doesn’t decrypt HTTPS or inspect private content.
